The JEDI Committee provides guidance and expertise to advance health equity across Central Oregon.
Health Equity
The committee supports COHC by ensuring that equity is integrated into regional health improvement efforts, governance, and partnerships.
Purpose
The JEDI Committee works to address health disparities and strengthen equitable outcomes across systems and communities.
This includes advancing culturally responsive practices and identifying barriers that impact health and access.
What JEDI Does
Activities of the JEDI Committee include:
- Advises the Board, committees, and partners on health equity
- Recommends strategies to reduce health disparities
- Supports integration of health equity into programs and policies
- Promotes accountability and transparency
- Elevates community-informed perspectives
How the Committee Works
The committee supports regional efforts by:
- Facilitating cross-sector dialogue and learning
- Building capacity for equity-centered practices
- Aligning work across COHC committees and partners
Membership
The JEDI Committee includes:
- Health care and community-based partners
- Individuals with lived experience
- Advocates for underserved communities
Membership is open to reflect the diversity of Central Oregon.
