Be Well Alignment FAQs

These questions address common considerations for organizations, leaders, businesses, and individuals exploring alignment with Be Well Central Oregon.
Is alignment required to participate or receive funding?
No. Alignment is voluntary. It does not guarantee funding and is not required to participate in regional work.
Organizations choose alignment because it is useful — not because it is mandatory.
Does alignment require new programs or changes to our mission?
No. Alignment recognizes work already underway. It does not require adopting new initiatives or altering your mission.
Is this reporting?
No. Information sharing supports learning and coordination — not compliance or evaluation.
Information shared through alignment is not used to make funding decisions.
How much time does alignment require?
Time commitment depends on the level selected:
Supporter: Brief annual confirmation
Contributor: Once-per-year sharing using information already tracked
Catalyst: Twice-yearly updates and active collaboration
There is no expectation to create new reporting systems.
Who decides our alignment level?
You do.
Alignment levels are self-selected. Staff are available to talk through options, but levels are not assigned or enforced.
Who sees the information we share?
Partners determine what information is public-facing and what is shared within learning spaces.
There is no requirement to share sensitive or internal information publicly.
How does health equity fit into alignment?
Health equity is foundational to Be Well Central Oregon.
As alignment levels increase, there is greater emphasis on understanding who benefits from the work and how disparities are addressed.
Organizations are not expected to have everything figured out to participate. Alignment supports progress over time.
What if our capacity changes?
Organizations may shift alignment levels — or step back — at any time.
Alignment is designed to adapt to changing funding, capacity, and focus.
Can individuals align?
Yes. Individuals may align to stay connected to learning, advocacy, and community engagement opportunities.
Individual alignment does not create organizational obligations.
Who can we talk to?
Be Well staff are available to walk alongside partners at any stage.
There is no expectation to decide quickly.
