About COHC

The Central Oregon Health Council (COHC) is the regional convener and steward of health system collaboration across Central Oregon.

We bring together health care providers, community organizations, public agencies, and regional leaders to align priorities, strengthen accountability, and improve health and well-being throughout the region.

COHC also serves as the governance body for the Central Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (CCO), overseeing Medicaid and Oregon Health Plan (OHP) services and ensuring alignment with state requirements and regional priorities.

Our Purpose

COHC exists to improve access to care, strengthen quality, and advance equitable health outcomes across Central Oregon.

We create the conditions for effective collaboration — aligning partners, coordinating regional strategy, and supporting community-informed solutions to complex health challenges.

How We Work

We operate at the intersection of healthcare delivery, public health, and community systems.

Lasting health improvement requires:

  • Cross-sector collaboration
  • Meaningful community engagement
  • Accountability and transparency
  • Alignment of resources and strategy

Governance & Leadership

COHC provides governance oversight for the Central Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) and guides regional health improvement efforts.
